Registration fees for WOC2020 Virtual® include access to both live and pre-recorded sessions from world leaders and experts, including industry symposia and poster presentations, available on-demand until 30 September 2020.

For those who already registered:

  • Registration for the WOC2020 meeting is automatically transferred to WOC2020 Virtual®.
  • Those who have overpaid based on the new registration fees, the difference has been reimbursed.
  • Anyone originally registered for WOC2020 in Cape Town and wishing to cancel will have received a full refund if the request was made by 5 May

Registration Payments

All registrations must be made online. The WOC2020 Virtual® will not process registrations that do not include payment information, and receipt of partial registration does not guarantee the registration rate.

The ICO reserves the right to review each registration for the appropriateness of the selected registration category and make any necessary corrections. For example, a full-time faculty member of ophthalmology that chooses the Accompanying Person or Medical Student rate will be corrected upon review. The ICO reserves the right to charge his/her credit card the difference in registration fees.

All participants registered before the closure of the registration website on 2 April, who registered for the 37th World Ophthalmology Congress and who do not wish to attend WOC2020 Virtual® can receive a full refund of the registration fee paid, by communicating their intention to cancel before 5 May.

Please note that due to number of requests to be handled at the moment, refunds will be processed in the coming months. We thank our delegates for their patience and understanding.

Cancellation policy for delegates who registered for WOC2020 in Cape Town

  • Until 5 May: registration fees will be fully refunded
  • After 5 May: as per cancellation policy, fees will not be refunded

Cancellation policy for new registrations (WOC2020 Virtual®):

  • Until 5 May: registration fees will be refunded, excluding $50 administrative fees
  • After 5 May: as per cancellation policy, fees will not be refunded

All cancellations* are to be sent to Grosvenor Tours in writing to  Please note the following cancellation terms, adjusted to take into account the difficulties posed by the Coronavirus outbreak:

  • Up to 60 days prior: no cancellation penalties
  • If a delegate cancels their stay between 60 to 31 days prior to arrival 1 night will be charged
  • Within 30 days of arrival full cancellation will be applied to the delegate
